Mark those calendars now! Julie Rogers Watercolor Class at Dixie College greeted eight greyhounds with pencils sharpened on March 4. Theyll be painting greyhounds for the Art Show to be held at the Shilo Inn during the Gathering. This Art Show will feature art from Julie and her students, and also art from the Kanab and Fredonia Elementary School students. The greyhounds will be visiting pictured above, intent on their sketchings, are Donna Adair, Lonnie Goulding, over 12 classrooms this week. The Arizona Site Steward Program is a statewide network of volunteers, sponsored by the federal, state, county and municipal agencies and the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), which is a division of Arizona State Parks. Stewards monitor archaeological sites in danger of vandalism or natural deterioration, and assist in activities such as surveying, mapping and recording rock art. In the Arizona Strip area, Stewards work primarily on the strip and in the Kaibab National Forest. Site Stewards must complete eight to 10 hours of initial training, then are encouraged to attend local training and an annual conference sponsored by the Arizona SHPO to further train-- . ing in such subjects as: federal (P15580R13) and state antiquity laws, desert uto Repair - TIRES!! .
