Show SHAKESPEAREAN FESTIVAL CLOSE TO SEPT, 1 September 1st, the 1984 Utah Shakespearean Festival season closes one of its most successful seasons to date. Record attendance was realized through the extended season. About 40,000 patrons attended this years productions of "The Taming of theShrew, "Troilus and Cressida, and "The Tempest. The Queens Feste and the popular seminars and Backstage Tours were also well attended. Publicity Director R. Scott Phillips stated, "From an artistic and financial point of view, this summer has been one of our most successful. The positive feedback from patrons and critics has indicated a level of excellence that will take constant and hard work to maintain. We are looking forward to the challenge. On Word was received Saturday of the death of ArmlnaLeFevre Banks. The funeral was held Tuesday, August 28, 1984 In the Minersville LDS "ard Chapel. Interment was at Minersville Cemetery. Darlene Baza and children from Salt Lake City spent a week with her parents Dorthv and Ted Carter. Scott McKnight and family spent a few days with Pam and Jack recently. Velma and Berell McAffee spent a night with Wilma and Daisel Davis and visited Helen and Neal Davis and also Arshall and Lela Evans. Mabel Thurning from Salt Lake City is staying with Ruben and Emily Dotson for a while. Newell Marshall is home after his recent surgery in Salt Lake City. Jackie and Russell Muir and son and Rodney and Carrie Muir from Las Vegas spent a couple of nights with her parents Doug and Elma Blackburn. Essie and Earl Thompson were also over for dinner on Sunday. Gladys and Gene Pitchforth from Salt Lake stopped in overnight from Ely enroute home. Brett Makin from Ogden spent a week with his grandparents, Howard Mc-Mul- and Gwen Pryor. Leslie and Hay Gray spent a week with his parents, Delmer and Ileen Gray. While here they took them to Wayne Wonderland. Mr. and Mrs. Marven Baker from Caliente visited with their children Dixie and Raul Pearson. Howard and Harold are staying in St. George where they are employed with Evesto Company. David and wife Jan and children Michael, Jennifer, Mathew Pryor have moved to Washington D.C. where they will make their home. He is employed by the Naval Intelligent Service. Howard and Gwen Pryor were up north and while there they visited with Grant Pryor and visited with Gaye and Robert Gressman. Many race horse fans enjoyed the weekend in Ely and some of the horses owned by people in Minersville did well. I understand Bud Carter, who is originally from Minersville, won the big race. Shirley and FrankTerry from Salt Lake City were here for Armina Banks' funeral. The corner from the bank has had a new sprinkling system put in and has been planted into grass for a park. Gretrude and Howard Marshall are staying on the flat with their grandchildren while their parents are in Nevada. The children came up to start school. Todd was also a Milford High Schoo graduate, was very active evident of the Lettermens m High School Sports and was Vice-Club.
