Osborn Photo Gotadl tests plans trailer part stori Milford City Council heard plans for a seventeen unit trailer park from Suzan Atkin at their regular meeting Monday, and then considered a model of storage units, and a proposal from D JR .McDermott to purchase lot two In the Milford Industrial Park. Meeting with two councilmen absent, the Mayor recommended that they wait for input from the rest of the council before making decisions on either project. Atkins proposal was about the same as previously approved, except she requested that she be charged one hookup for sewer and water and install only one water meter. She also proposed building approximately 800 feet of sewer which would be run to the lift station and would pve her more fall for the trailer park. After some discussion Council agreed to allow a single hookup to the trailer park for both sewer and water, with the hookup fee to be based on the size of the water line. However, monthly fates for each occupied trailer court will be assessed, on the basis of the water used. McDermotts proposal brought forth both pro and con, but the Council was in general agreement that If he lived up to the parks covenants, and the plan is approved by the MIF Covenants Board, they would agree to sell the property at the profferred amount. McDermott proposed to build four buildings of storage units, with office and industrial space at the front of each building. The plans call for the first to be built immediately, with the other three to be built as needed. However, as specified by the covenants, McDermott has agreed to plant the unused portion of the lot in grass and maintain it until built upon. Council had several questions about the development, and some expressed the opinion that they would prefer to have McDermott start with a smaller lot and then expand to a second lot if needed. But Manager Raines said McDermott had been persistent In wanting that particular lot because of Its exposure. Dan Joseph of the Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Center in Cedar City told the Council of plans for expansion, so the facility can accommodate women and juveniles.
