Show t the Green, heading for Anderson Bottom, in country never reached by pavement. Many families making the Friendship Cruise pause to sunbathe on sandbars, others go exploring up riverside cliffs for prehistoric Indian ruins. At Anderson Bottom there are campfires, thick steaks and cowboy authentic ones. Many Utah songs and Colorado ranchers make the trip in their own boats and call it the "Cowboy Cruise. and Colorado Rivers, make a sharp left turn north, and head up the Colorado River to their final port, Moab. Enroute the boats move through gorges that grow progressively deeper and more scenic. Below Grand View Point and Dead Horse Point the river is hemmed in by cliffs nearly 3,000 feet high.
