Show tv this week PGA CLASSIC The third and final rounds of the 1966 PGA Championship which will, this year, be celebrating its Golden Anniversary, will be on Channel 4 Saturday, July 23, 2 p.m. and Sunday, July 24, 1 p.m. ABC television cameras will cover the five finishing holes (14th to the 18th) of this annual classic restricted to the worlds finest golfers, which originates this year from the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. Action over the final holes of the par 70 course will be described and explained by ABCs Chris Schenkel, Bill Flemming and former golf great Byron Nelson himself a two time winner of the 7,180-yard- , PGA. Sixteen color cameras, including an isolated camera for instant replay and ABC's exclusive and stop action technique will be strategically located at points all along the last five holes of the Firestone. In addition, an ABC-Tcamerman, suspended by a crane on a perch approximately 200 feet in the air, will take panoramic views of the final holes. The PGA championship ranks as one of the most treasured titles in the world of professional golf, sharing prominence with the Masters, U.S. Open, and Britsh Open. The PGA is the final of the four major tournaments which make up the Grand Slam of Golf. The 1966 PGA the ninth consecutive year that the championship has been a stroke-plawill event mark the 50th year since the start' of this annual golf classic and again showcase the world's greatest professional golfers. Leading the field of major entrants will be defending PGA champion Dave Marr, 1966 Masters Champion Jack Nicklaus, 1966 U.S. Open Champion Billy Casper, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player slow-motio- y n and Tony Lema.
