Show from RUTH casaw cottohwooo mights Good Scenery And Ball Teams To a stranger approaching our valley from any angle the sight is magnificent. As far as the eye can see there is nothing but neat houses, green grass and stately trees. In the evening the sunsets are too magnificent to even describe. In the southeast corner of this paradise is a community called Cottonwood Heights. If yo were lucky enough to live an Butler Hill in this area, every evening the sun-se- ts would take your breath away, during the day you would be able to see clear across the valley to the Bingham Copper mines shining in the suaand even to the lake on a clear At night the diamond day. affect of the lights are something even a poet couldn't describe. But besides all this beauty of nature there are some wonderful people living there. We work, play, and visit together as one large group. For example of the work and play we do we have a baseball team that is tops In the area, tope in the region and we hope tope In the All Church games coming up soon. This team is the Butler 6th Ward, and the members live on top of this wonderful hill Im proud to say I know some of the members like Jerry Mc-- C Duane and Lloyd leery, Loveless, Doug Erickson, and Jay Hintse. But I understand the rest of the group, Duane Mendenhall, Arne Pulp (who is also the 1st counselor in the Bishopric of the 8th Ward) Ralph Batman, Glade Ingle t, Gibb Stevenson, Larry Evans, Decker Davis, Bill Allen and -- Farrell Farday are also very fine men. According to Dale fr rsen of the Butler Stake A .inuc committee this team is the best in the area, and we want to wish them luck in their try for a championship. On the' 10th of August, the Butler 5th Ward jouroeved to Lagoon for a fun time by the ward members. Most of the members hurried homo from work to enjoy a dip in the cool swimming pool. But it was fun and the children came home very tired and I think a little sick There must be something wrong with our family, because all the neighbors around us are moving. Across the I street the Wallin family moved out a few weeks ago and the couple who moved in are delightful. Yes, new fall programs will be the best ever! Get your Zenith Quality TV NOW while our stocks are still Their names are Tom and Anita Murdock along with two lovely children Clara and Dirk. The Murdocks are from Provo, where Tom was attending the BYU until June. Anita says all the steps in her split level bouse are quite a bit different than her small three room apartment. Anita was raised in Virginia and only came to Utah three rears ago. Therefore she still has some adjustments to make to our western atmosphere. They make wcoderful neighbors and I hoc they are here to stay for at least as long as we do. Another family that has left our neighborhood was the Tom Hartman family, rm glad to report that they only moved to Chris Lane and are close enough to visit with us still. But the family that moved in to their home on Willow Way are a hit different from the average family. Their name Is Able Saffari. Able was born and raised in Persia. Able came to the U. S. a student and studied at the college in Cedar City. While he and his brother Jim were at school. Able met and married a local girl named Sharon. They have two small boys, Robert and Richard. Therefore this family also has some ajustment to our western Ideas and ways. Both Able and his brother Ji.n are living on Willow Way, so if anyone would like to bear first band what life In like in Persia, glv.. me a call and I'll take you across the street to meet the Saffari s.
