Workman said that most of the ma- Continued on page 3 Water elections set for Dec. 4 Voters in Uintah County will be returning to the poles Wednesday, Dec. 4, to select trustees to represent them on water and sewer issues. There are several candidates vying for positions in three of the four water and sewer improvement districts holding elections. Although the Maeser Water and Improvement District has scheduled an election, no candidates had filed for a position on the board by the November deadline. There are two positions open in the three other districts and each term of office will be for six years. The polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. For the purpose of the election, the polling places have been consolidated. Voters in Naples no. 2 and South Vernal no. 14 will vote at School. the Naples Elementary Voters in Glines no. 5, Maeser no. 6, Dry Fork no. 7 and Ashley no. 14 will vote at the Aspen Brook Realty, 1340 West Highway 40. Voters in Davis no. 18 will vote at the Wilford Olsen resident, 3487 South 1500 East. Jensen voters will vote at the water located office, improvement at 5950 South 8500 East. Incumbents include Clint Harrison and Arthur McKee. Others seeking election for the six year term include Sandra McKee, Gene Harvey and Edwin Cuch. The Jensen Water Improvement District has the largest slate of candidates with seven persons seeking election for the two available positions. Both incumbents whose terms of office have expired are seeking along with five additional candidates. Incumbents include A. DeMar Dudley and Lewis G. Vincent. Other candidates include Kenneth W. According to Tom Goodrich, owner of Goodrich Construction, the project is currently ahead of schedule and workers hope to have all worked complete by early January or late December. Construction crews have been working at the site for several weeks and have completed much of the initial construction work. The exterior walls of the building and the roof are 95 percent complete. All the concrete work and landscaping around the building has been completed. In addition to doing the construction phase of the project, workers also completed the landscaping. The landscaping materials were donated by the county and the crew donated their personal time to complete the work. Work on the construction phase did not begin until after an overlay was completed on the airport runway. The supreme court ruled that proper procedures were not followed in hearing protests to the annexations and the annexations were referred back to the Uintah Boundary Commission for a rehearing. A boundary commission hearing last month on the Pike annexation was rescheduled for last Thursday because the hearing was not properly advertised.
