He is a team leader and was first on coach Kim Petersons list of nominees. He was in good company with two other solid linebackers at Bountiful in Steve Thorn and John East. Porter was Clearfields and leading tackier. At 7 and 165 pounds, he was an in the weight room and that carried over onto the playing field. His biggest attribute is that he makes up in desire whatever fie lacks in size, according to Coach Hancock. He was a solid tackier, probably the best on the ieam, according to Coach He totaled six interceptions on the year and was the Wildcats leading point getter on defense. two-ye- ar Eld-rach- Adams was the Region leader in interceptions with seven. He didnt play until his junior year, but in two years developed a keen ability to recognize where a pass was going. In addition to a great year as defensive back, Adams also punted for the Falcons and was a reserve wide receiver. 1 Gomez is a sprinter and a football player a dangerous combination, especially since he is elusive as well as fast. He returned two kickoff for touchdowns and returned many to midfield. He also averaged 20 yards per punt return. He was often a cause of worry among opposing coaches, Coach Eldracher said. Bombard started the year out winning the Braves first outing with a field goal in the final seconds against Layton and has been an invaluable member of the team, all season long. While the kicking games of other teams have often been their downfall, Bombards consistency in pressure situations has been a big plus for the Braves this season.
