Each carried two and were seen litering around Caffeys Saloon during Tuesday. They had evidently laid their plans well and were on time to prepare for the capture of the money. six-shoot- Carpenter and others followed the highwaymen down the canyon on an engine but did not see them and came on to Price where the news spread like wildfire. One posse left here under Sheriff Donant as soon as it could be organized, another scoured the hills from Castle Gate to the Emery County road south of Price. Three posses started from points in Emery County and at a late hour Wednesday they were hot on the trail Dickinson and others were sent down from Salt Lake City and were joined here by other men who preceded to Green River where they would take horses and ride the country south of here. The affair has caused the most intense excitement all over the country and will very likely be the means of drawing the attention of state officials to the necessity of concerted action in obliterating these gangs of audacious outlaws who reign supreme in Robex-sher- iff bers Roost. The Pleasant Valley Coal Company offered a reward of $2000 for the capture of the robbers and today doubled the amount. A chance for some one with an inclination for suicide to earn $4000. Latest news from the seat of war as we go to press, is that the Price posse had exchanged shots with the fleeing highwaymen and two horses were killed by the deadly marksmanship of the bandits but the men are still at large.
