Show Wednesday, January 6, 1982 Sun Advocate, Price, Utah 7B club notes 9 in Price, I,oyette Myerhoff in Huntington, Kathleen Day at 637-149- Sweet Adelines forming club Cleveland-Elm- The prospective chapter of Sweet Adelines are planning a special guest night at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Huntington Elementary School. Refreshments will be served. o at 653-263- and Karen Funk at 687-978- 9 in 1 384-251- 4 in Ferron. Club honors members 4-- H Sweet Adelines is an international organization with 32,000 women in more than 700 chapters. The local area is presently completing the three steps necessary for it to charter with the international group. It needs at least 20 members to charter. Currently, it has 14 members coming from Price to Ferron. The group meets at 7:30 p.m. every Thursday at the Huntington Elementary Club held The Carbon Junior Livestock its annual banquet Dec. 11 at Price City Hall. County Agent Tom Behling and club leaders Steve and Maurine Tanner presented awards. Each member received a plate that noted his achievement during 1981. plaques Special engraved Spirit of were awarded to Cordie Clark, Cullen Clark, Robert Rhodes, Lisa Paulson and Kris Paulson. These members had perfect club attendance. They also attended most extra 4-- H hand-decorat- ed 4-- H School. For more information, call Mary Killian at weddings activities sponsored by the club. Justin Tanner was named Outstanding Senior Member for the year. Heath Tanner was named Outstanding Junior Member. Each boy received a silver engraved belt buckle. Guests at the banquet included Joan Sellers, county home economist; Tom Behling, county agent; and Steve and Robyn Engle, new livestock club leaders in the Wellington area. Gifts were exchanged among everyone after a dinner. Sheriff's Patrol elects officers The Carbon County Sheriffs Search and Rescue Patrol is alive and well and ready to respond anytime the sheriff calls. The group recently elected officers for 1982. Jay Nelson is the new commander. Dean Holdaway is first vice commander; Edward Ellis, second vice commander; and Dennis Jensen, secretary-treasurePatrol members especially recognize and thank Fred Flaime for his service as quartermaster of the supplies for the last 15 years. Frank Whipple is the new quartermaster. Three new members have been added to the groups membership which now totals 20. The new members are Joe Ruden, Craig Larsen and Bill Burton. Outgoing officers are Gary Lyon, Frank Segura, Jim Simone and Paul Wheeler. Past Commander Gary Lyon extends his thanks to the partol for making it an easy year for him.
