Synthesis will make its Symphony Hall debut Wednesday in the At Symphony Hall first of four City Rep productions of Tuxedo Junction, showcasing the sounds of Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington and other artists of the Classic Swing era. - Synthesis To Spotlight Swing SALT LAKE. The award-winnin- g musical ensemble, contemporary Synthesis, will make its Symphony Hall dehut Wednesday in a big band era concert sponsored by the Salt Lake Repertory Theatre (City Rep). Winner of the Pacific Coast Collegiate Jazz Festival, the band has performed in numerous jazz festivals and has consistently been a winner in competitions since its organization in 1973, City Rep artistic director Joanne M. Parker nuted.
