Show 6 THE GREEN SHEET Thursday, January 1, 1987 Milestones 1986 This Is How I Remember It . . That marvelous poem I used last week, "The Night Before Christmas . . . updated to 1986" was not author's name, P.R. VanBuskirk, was left off in error. My thanks and apologies go to all who called and told me. I wish the words had been mine, they're 9reatEthel my work. The - I cant guess how historians will note the year of 1986, and what touched me will be different from what touched you, but, however you view it, it was quite a year. Ruth And Harry Fern Note 40th Anniversary December 31st marked the 40th wedding anniversary of Ruth Bair and Harry T. Fern. Mr. Fern was born and raised in Smithfield and Mrs. Fern in Rich mond. They both attended North Cache high school where they met. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple in 1946 and they have resided in the Salt Lake area for the past are the parents of four children; Shirlene Goodman, Los Angeles; LuGene New, West Valley City; Randall Fern, Bennion and Peggie Fern of Ann Arbor, Michigan. They have 10 grandchildren. Ruth has one brother, Lowell E. Bair of Richmond, Utah. Harry is an accountant and is currently working for Premium Oil as manager of Cash Saver. Ruth has worked in the Medical field for 25 years and is currently working in Bountiful at the Mountain View Medical Center in the field of imWinnie Mandela, wife of the the prisoned Xelson Mandela became the ideal for the Blacks of South Africa while Benazir Bhutto, whose father was hung by violent Pakistanis, returned to rally the conservatives around her. But if there is joy and peace in ones own personal life, we can rejoice, for after all, on the bottom line, thats the only place it really matters.
