A class at Plymouth elementary is preparing children to enter kindergarten in the fall. The youngsters, all age attend the class each month, under the direction of coordinator Paula Alder, assisted by Carolyn Roberts, with help from volunteer pre-scho- parents. Registration for kindergarten is scheduled for 9:30 to noon on March 19. Children entering must be age 5 on or before Sept. 1. A birth certificate is required to complete registration, and may be obtained from the Department of Vital Statistics 150 W. North Temple, school personnel noted. A registration card is to be completed during registration. A health form will be issued and should be returned to the school before the child enters kindergarten. Utah law also requires complete immunizations before the child enters school, 533-610- and completed immunizations records should be brought to registration. Forms will be issued to those needing them. It is not necessary for the child to accompany the parent to registration, school officials said. The class is considered an excellent way to acquaint the incoming students with the school, with their future teachers and with the general idea of school attendance, the spokesman concluded. pre-scho- Ninth grade students will register their own schools for their entry into high school, assisted by counselors and staff from Granger. Students at West Lake will register March 11, Valley on March 12 and Kennedy students on March in 13. Meetings of the Taylorsville high parent support group will be held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, with the next meeting scheduled for March 12 in the conference room near the schools main office.
