The council reviewed the matter at its June 7 meeting when a Chris and Dicks representative indicated some company vehicles, particularly large trucks, could not be serviced by the pumps if they were moved to the new location. In light of that information, which was not brought out at the April 12 commission meeting, the council remanded the application to the planners for a second time. At its meeting on June 28, the commission denied the proposal again after a brief hearing. City Manager John Newman said Tuesday at the councils weekly study session he will recommend the council overturn the commission's two decisions and approve the companys application, contending the does not understand commission the problem. If approved, the company will likely be required to erect a fence around the pumps at their present location. In other matters, the council is R tentatively scheduled to adopt a resolution approving issuance of a $4 million bond for road repairs. Doug Sagers, a representative of the firm - Boettcher and Company -which will purchase the bond, told the council Tuesday the city could save approximately $80,000 by waiting a few more days to issue it. He said waiting until several large large bond issues currently on the market have cleared could result in a lower interest rate for West bond. Residents in the Taylorsville-Bennio- n Improvement District will be paying slightly less in taxes to the district in the coming year, the result of a reduced mill levy. In a meeting last week, the improvement districts board of trustees ratified the mill levy for the coming year at 6.89. This is a decrease of 1.15 mills from last years 8.04. These figures mean that despite a slight increase in the assessed valuation of residential property, those residing within the Taylorville-Bennio- GRANITE PARK. Many of the instrumentalists have played in Promised Valleys version of Annie and are familiar with the music. Some of them will play as many as three different instruments during the performance. Two unusual sounds will give interesting effects to the score. A ratchet, part of the percussion, is just a gearbox thats broken, explains Mr. Nielsen. It gives a similar sound to a playing card hitting against spokes on a bicycle wheel. Also, a soprano saxophone is played to give a feeling of annoyance before Miss Hannigan sings her complaint about Little Girls. Offstage, Miss Hannigan is Mary Williams, of Taylorsville and, of course, doesnt hate little girls. She has children of her own, as do others in the cast, including Donna Coulson, who plays several parts besides being costume director. Annies real parents, C. Evan and Carol Allred, have small parts in the show. Might as well, as long as they are bringing Amy and her sister Becky from Bountiful to Murray every night for rehearsal. Both parents have music degrees. Deserving special accolades is rehearsal srrs INCLUDE FREE DELIVERY 90 DAYS SAME AS CASH 972-587- 2 Visa , 228 Bad and because they always children, steal the show. Well, the witty Mr. Fields would not have wanted a part in Annie, to be presented in Murray park Aug. because his statement is proving to be true. The kids and the animal are stealing the show. How do adult cast members have a chance with 17 adorable orphan girls ages 8 to 12 belting out Its a Hard Knock Life? Whats a ham like Bert Healy (Eric Glissmeyer) to do when he performs his routine for Youre Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile, only to have this crowd of moppets upstage him in their reprise? Leader of this conniving band of songsters is diminutive Amy Allred, who plays Annie. So at home on the state, she can control her own part of it without question. She has known her lines and songs several weeks, probably longer than any of her stage mates. Even a bout with chicken pox, which kept her from rehearsals for a week, didnt slow her down. Then theres the dog, Sandy, aka mix owned Lucky, a Cocker-Colli- e by the. Mark Boe family who live across the street from the Allreds in d Bountiful. So and obedient is this pooch that when his friend Amy tells him to stay, he does just that. Of course, animals can come up with surprises. But no matter what Sandy does, whether in the script or not, the audience is sure to love it. Although all the orphans have hug appeal, at least three besides Annie get a little more chance to shine by doing solos. These are Julie and t. For example, on a home which has a market value of $50,000, taxes for the improvement district will be $41.13 for the coming year. This compares with the past year, when a home of the same value would yield $43.24 in taxes to the district. Although individual residents will be paying less in taxes, the district will have more funds to work with. This is due to an increase of about $18 million in the overall assessed valuation of the district, according to district manager Floyd Nielsen. 572 Teachers Gain Positions ALL SEATS BACHELOR THE GREEN SHEET WEST Career Ladders Program mmi :30, 19, 1984 Water Levy Dropping n 4961 So.
