Show 23 80th Year - food Out Our Window . . Raymond Coats To Be Honored . A EM An open house given by members of his family will honor the 80th birthday anniversary of R. Raymond Coats to be held Friday, March 4 at the Jordan stake center, 3700 W. 4700 South. The open house will be from 6 to 9 p.m. to which family members and Ethel Bradford, women's editor Wendy Emerson had been a victim of a heart attack back about 4,000 or 5,000 B.C. they'd have taken you (that is, if you were an important person) to a hospital and placed in a room of a certain color. If you weren't important they'd have just left you to die. Bride Of Keith Hartley The person In the next room (of course, very important) suffering from arthritis, would find the walls, ceilings and draperies of an entirely different color. Both would have been undergoing treatment for their individual ailments . . . by color therapy. So, here it is today. A child born with neonatal jaundice, potentially fatal and once demanding immediate, complete blood transfusion, will be bathed continuously in blue light. Over 30,000 just last year. And, to note the effect color has, the nurses tending those children, who do not need that color, are irritated by it and gold lamps are added to calm them. A marriage. The event took place on February 12th and a reception was given that same evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Leggett. The bride is the daughter of Robert R. and Carolyn Emerson and is a graduate of Cottonwood high. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Hartley Jr. and also graduated from Cottonwood high. Tressa Hogan was matron of honor with Stephanie Emerson, Debbie Forbush and Michelle Hartley as bridesmaids. Some claim psychological effects from color, but that is harder to prove. All they really have to do is monitor some homemaker who is 'forced' to live in a home decorated with colors she 'cannot stand' and they'd not have to wonder any more. But, Alexander Schauss, Director of the American nstitute of Biosocial Research, says that color does interact in "unknown ways'' on the glands of the body. I Flower WHAT "Bubble gum pink" rooms have become standard treatment for those out of control on drugs. The pacifying effect is dramatic. "Unbelievable" is the word used by nurses upon their first encounter with the "pink" treatment. 1 Without thinking of it, we choose our clothes by color as much as by style and tests reveal outfits, identical except for color, will be purchased at different rates. And some colors are left entirely untouched. The bright flashing lights of the discos are planned to excite, and performers on stage choose the same colors for the same reason.
