More than 21 young ladies will compete for the title of Sweetheart. Each must display a talent in three minutes or less, in addition to street dress and evening gown competition. The winner will compete at the State Fair next month. The County Fair rodeo, now in its third year, will be held Aug. beginning at 8 p.m. each night. The rodeo and the midway games and rides are the only events for which an admission is charged. Admission to the rodeo is $2.50 for adults, $1.50 for children under 13 years of age and free for children under 6. A number of other activities and entertainment will run throughout the week. A fireworks display will cap off each night, starting at 11 every night, with the exception of Mon ( From activities will take place. A favorite foods contest will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. A turkey barbecue contest will be held Aug. 19 at 3 p.m., and a horse show will be presented Aug. 20 at 8:30 a.m. and Aug. 21 at day, when they will be presented at 10:30. On Wednesday and Thursday at 8:30 p.m., the Warren Burton will perform, Comedy Show followed by a group of singers and dancers, Island Magic Revue. At 9:45 the County Sheriff Corps will give a demonstration.
