The superintendents of both Granite and Jordan school districts have encouraged passage of the n 6-- 2 . proposal, because, they say, incorporation of Lake Valley would keep their districts intact. Without incorporation, they both contend, cities can continue to annex portions of Granite and Jordan districts, which may erode the districts tax base or force children to change schools. The Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce board of governors unanimously endorsed creation of Lake Valley City in late April, to vote in following a oppose the proposal by the West Valley Area Chamber of Commerce.
