Mr. Wood is a life-lon- resident g Announce Many Group Activities when the family was trying to come down to spend the day with relatives and traveling by horse-draw- n sleigh. It was their first Christmas on the farm and they were anxious to get back home, but a blizzard came on and they became lost. After traveling in circles for hours, Stern finally gave the horses their way, and the animals took them safely back to the farm. Stern remembers the days when he hitched four horses to the plough, or five to work the harvester. It was a big job that involved getting up early enough to curry, feed and water the horses before hitching. They w'ould be loosened, fed and watered at noon and then hitched up again for the afternoons work. Grandpas love for animals was not restricted to horses, he loves dogs and always has one, tells one of his sons. Social hour will be at 6:30 p.m. and at 7 : 30, dinner will be served. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Carol and Rick 2700 Sorensen. Council sponsor is Lila Saracino. The committee chairwomen and chapters include Becky (Mrs. Daniel) Harris, Preceptor Nu Chapter, and Beth (Mrs. Joe) Clement. The Beta Phi Chapter has sold Alaskan Seafood to collect for Easter Seals. They are donating a Christmas tree to the Festival of Trees and the money for the sale of the tree goes to the Primary Childrens project. The Beta Phi Chapter is taking two families for the Sub for Santa this year. The Alpha Chapter is involved in helping Women in Crisis for battered women at the YWCA. Also, they are helping members of their own chapter. The Theta Chapter is working on the Festival of Trees this year. The Alpha Tau Chapter is helping the State Training School at American Fork. The XI Tau Chapter is helping with the Diabetic Foundation and also helps a shut-ilady who resides in a rest home. This is a project. Teresa Weigel Will Marry Jeffrey H. McCann Mr. and Mrs. Peter A.
