Alvin Carter w ill celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on August 17th from seven to nine p.m. with an open house hosted by their family at the Robert And Edna Park Mark 50th Anniversary Nellie as a young woman The open house will be held at the home of her son, William N. Stephens, 569 East 3735 South. It will be held from p.m. and there Is a request for no gifts. Nellie was born September 6th, 1901, to John Mathews and Jennie Alfreda Dahlman Chapman of Heber City. She was the oldest of 9 children with 6 brothers and 2 4-- 8 Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wallsburg, Utah are being on their 50th anniversary open house on Saturday, 15th. honored with an August Their children will host the event at 8690 Hidden Oaks Circle (3370 East) from p m Friends and relatives are being invited and there is a request for no sisters. 7-- 9 She graduated from Wasatch high in 1920. During her senior year at Wasatch, she won the retold story contest and as a prize received a watch that still runs to this day. They are Noel Chapman of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; Curtis Wayne of Wilmington, Delaware; Francis Clark of Santa Monica, California and William N. of Salt Lake. She has 13 grandchildren and 8 Following high school Nellie attended the BYU for one year and then taught school at Central Elementary in Heber City. The honored lady was married the following year to Nobel Ellsworth Stephens. They were wed June 20, 1923 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and soon after they moved to Colorado and then on to New York where they lived for several years. Nellie soon returned to Utah where she again attended BYU and graduated in 1945. Nellie taught in various elementaries in Salt Lake, being at Garfield, Utah for a few years, and then the rest of her teaching career in the Granite school district. She was many years at the Madison school, teaching 2nd and 3rd grade and retired in 1967 after 22 years of teaching. Nell has many talents. She has a green thumb and has grown many Cheese Types There are 400 varieties of cheese, but most of these are variations of only 18 different types. Park of Wallsburg, and Mrs. Ron (Linda) Mast of Salt Lake.
