Richard was alwaysproud of his military service in the US Marine Corps, November12, 1941 until the end of WWII. After WWII, he reenlisted with the Marines, and served in the Korean War from March 1951 - April 1952. Richard wasa member of the 2nd Marine Brigade and was with the Ist Armed Forces and the Ist Expeditionary Forces to leave the U.S.after the War was declared. Richard was awarded two battle stars.
