The emphasis should be on people treating each other kindly, not one **x having to treat anoiher in a special way Treating each other with respect has nothing to do with a man's rushing to pull back a woman's chair jn the office. How the two sexes treat each other on their own time is their own business, but the manner in which he treats her in the office shows whetherheis willing to admit her talents and abilities. li he continually treats her as a fragile helpless object, heis proclaiming to company managementthat she is incapable of making any tough decisions on her own Dear Ms. Baldrige: How doI tell a young male colleague to stop leaping to his feet every timeI enter a room in ouroffice where he happens to be?
