WoodlandHills Land Rezoned Utah County Commissioners deleted some sections of land in a 400-acre tract proposed for rezoning, then voted to rezone the remainder to Rural-Residential-5 near Woodland Hills. In action taken Friday, commissioners aproved the petition by Velyn McClellan, Ted Franks and others to rezone the property, which lies between Woodland Hills Town and Elk Ridge Town. The land was in Apt and Critical Environment-1 zones. Commissioner Kenneth Pinegar said Elk Ridge had not been contacted concerning the rezoning of land abutting the city boundary because that town had madenopolicy declaration for future annexation. “Even if it is in RR-1, Elk Ridge canstill have somecontrol over the land within one-half mile of its boundaries,” Pinegar said.
