They were the only one left who could accomplish that feat, and for four games it appeared as if they just might pull it off. In one way the pressure is off of them now and they can relax to play good ball. The Friday matchup with Roy will be on the Falcon floor, which automatically gives Clearfield : an edge with their fans. Already considered by the colleges to be a great player, Debbie has had to take a lot of the load on her shoulders and shes doing well. ANOTHER holdover who saw limited action a year ago on the title squad is Sue Petersen who can shoot outside with anyone in the league. THINK ABOUT it, the height of the player seems to be the only concern of most people. It came to light while listening to some player introductions at a recent college game. Before each game the PA announcer informs the crowd of six basic things. Miller leading the pack with an 18 and 16 point average respectively. Keep in mind these two speedsters get a lot of their points on the lay up fast break but they can also hit from the outside. The name is nice to know and the number thing seems important to some people. Knowing whether or not the player is a senior, junior or whatever is nice in that you can make a hasty judgment of just how good the player should be before even seeing him play. ITS NICE TO know the hometown of the visiting teams in case you know someone from that area or to see what area of the nation is producing the top players. But then they throw in the height of the player. Not his weight or IQ but simply his height. Seems to play a big role in deciding which team is going to win. If height was that big of a deciding factor then basketball would be easy. Just get the biggest players. EVEN WE aren't aware of how much weve been programmed to the height factor.
