Roy. died March 17, 1981 in the McKay-De- e Hospital of complications following surgery. He was born July 20, 1928 in Richfield, a son of Owen Woodruff and Mildred Meyer Horne. HE MARRIED Ellen Bernice Phillips Feb. 22, 1950 in the Manti LDS Temple. He served an LDS mission to the Northwestern States Mission and was a member of the Roy 4th Ward. He served in the Sunday School presidency and was president of the Seventies Quorum and served as a high priest. HE WORKED for the Roy city recreation complex and had owned and operated his own construction company. Surviving are his widow of Roy; two daughters and two 1 sons, Mrs. Larry (Trena) Dodge, Philippines; Mrs. Kenneth (Dixie) Berg, Orem; Lee R. Horne, Layton, and Jay Dee Horne, West Point: Twelve grandchildren; his parents of Kaysville: brothers and sister, Harold Horne, Brigham City; Thad Horne, Layton; Marvin Horne and Kenneth Horne. Lofgreen Dies At 69 Mrs. Adah Loree Lofgreen, 69, passed away on Monday, March 23, 1981 at the family home, 33 South 300 East, Kaysville, following a lengthy illness. SHE WAS born in Metcalf, Ariz. on July 28, 1911, the daughter of James Elliot and Ella Loree Van Leer Lee. She married Harold E. Lofgreen on Jan. 6, 1927 in Lordsburg, N. Mex. The marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. Mrs. Lofgreen was an active member of the LDS Church, taught in Sunday School, was Primary chorister. Relief Society president. Stake Relief Society organist and was a temple ordinance worker in the Los Angeles Temple for five years. She had been a resident of Kaysville for the past six years. SURVIVING are her husband, Kaysville; one son, Van Lofgreen, Indianapolis, Ind.p one' daughter, Mrs. Kay L. Twogood, Kaysville; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-- , grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Becky Loree Lower and one son. Ted Lee Lofgreen. Also surviving are one brother and four sisters. Robert VanLeer Lee. She was born March 12 and was the first child of Richard and Susan Ayres. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Ward entertained at a family birthday dinner at their home Sunday in honor of their daughter Kristen who was five years old. Guests included grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Ward. Riverside, and her aunt Marilyn Ward of Ogden. Mrs. Mable Christensen has been convalescing at her home the past month with a broken foot. Irving Christensen and his son Bill of Shreveport. La. flew to Sacramento, Calif, where they attended the funeral of Harold Christensen, Irving's brother. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bowman recently visited in Los Angeles, Calif, with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bowman, their son. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Johnson, Dr. and Mrs. John Steiner and family of Kaysville; Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Johnson. The elder returned from the California San Diego Mission. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Ray Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leaf, stationed at Hill AFB, are moving to Las Vegas, Nev. on a new assignment with the service. Mrs. Leaf is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Heath were guests in Ogden Wednesday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Velda Grover. They celebrated the birthdays of Mr. Heath and Mrs. Glover at a family dinner. Elder Brian Sabin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sabin of Kaysville. has accepted his mission call to the Thailand Bangkok Mission. He will enter the MTC on April 30. Carroll attended the funeral service of a cousin, Wilford Clark, at Cedar City last week. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Julien while in Cedar City. Mrs. Annie Call flew to Denver. Jones and their daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Adams, attended the play "Telltale Theatre" at WSC last Friday evening. Vernon Clay returned home after being confined to the hospital undergoing treatment for heart problems. Mrs. Ruth Ward has been confined to the St. Marks Hospital undergoing treatment. Mrs. Margaret Bachman and Mrs. Nadine Bachman of Ogden were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stuart on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Terry C. Barber and their daughter spent five days vacationing at Park City. Mrs. Isabelle Burton Carlisle af Orem accompanied a group of friends from Manti on a Caribbean cruise. Birge Stewart of Salt Lake City, to Park City on Monday to visit the Kimball Art Gallery and to see the Alvin Gittens Memorial exhibit. Mr. Stewart and Mr. Gittens were close friends during the many years at the U. of U. art department. HE WAS born in Logan on Feb. 2, 1923. the son of Harry William and Lydie Emeline Atkinson Camper. He married Dorothy Rich on June 21, 1969. He served in the Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. While residing in Layton, he served as mayor of East Layton. He received the commendation for meritorious civilian service during his 34 years of civil service before retiring in November 1976 from Hill Air Force Base.
