Steve Thorpe placed in the top 15 in state and other winners were: sophomores, Maren Watts, Kelly Rhoe; juniors, Karl Waller, Rhonda Clauson, Renie Miya and Stacy Judd; seniors, Pam Knighton. I called Debbie Ditson, the 1980 Miss Teen Utah and she sent me an application. The officials choose someone from each area as a finalist to compete in the pageant. I was accepted and was very excited. It's a lot of hard work. Michelle has four sponsors in the area. SHE IS working on a scrapbook that will be judged during the pageant and is also working on a patriotic talent.
