ROTARY Receives student exchange irr Sworn in as new Layton City Police ficers are Kevin Allred, left, Dennis Madsen, John R, Ledkins and Terry Gardner, meeting with Mayor Lewis G. ivmir nrvT I ULlVaE OFFICERS LAYTON Four new police officers took oath of office August 5 at the Layton City Police Shields administering the oath. TERRY GARDNER, Kevin Allred, John R. Ledkins and Dennis Madsen became members of a 23 man police force for the city and all are residents of Davis County. Mr. Gardner and Mr. Allred have been working as civilian former Karen Smith of Washington Terrace. JOHN R. LEDKINS was employee dispatchers for bom in Murray and reared in Midvale, Utah. He graduated from WSC with his English Teaching major. He was with experienced police officers, new to the force. POLICE CHIEF LaMar T. Chard feels each is very qualified for their new positions and will be an asset to the department and the Layton community. Terry Gardner was born in Huntington Park, California, but reared in Farmington, Utah. He is a graduate of Davis High School and received his BS degree in Police Science from WSC.
