WHITESIDES was bom June 25, 1902 in Layton, a son of William W. and Mary Alice Adams Whitesides. He married Mareta Morgan Oct. 15, 1923. He has been a farmer all his married life. CARL STOCK 50th Anniversary The children of Carl and Lucille Stock will honor their parents at an open house July 2 from 8 p.m. in the Layton 18th Ward, 275 Park St. The Stocks will celebrate their 50th 4-- wedding anniversary. They were married in Paris, Ida. July 2, 1932. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple after the Stocks moved to Utah from Wyoming. home for Carls father and brother when his mother died five months before they graduated. Kent Stock died at the age of 4. They have 21 grandchildren and six d children. The Stocks have been active in community y and church affairs in Layton. They fulfilled a stake mission and Mr. Stock is a high priest in the 18th Ward. Mm. Stock has enjoyed working with the youth, earning a 15 year pin for this work. The couple enjoy developing the talents in art and music. They are presently exhibiting their art in the Tiffin Room at the ZCMIs in Ogden. Her mother died when she was eight days old and her father had to go into the service so she was raised by her grandparents until her fathe remarried and they moved to Afton, Wyo. Lucille and Carl met when they were sophomores in high school. John, 192 S. Main St. in Kaysville. Friends and rela- tives are invited to visit between the hours of 4 p.m. No gifts please. 2-- MR. JOHN was born June 29, 1892 in Bernard, Colo. His father died when he was four AFTER HIS marriage he purchased a farm in Mancos, Colo. !n the spring of 1958 they moved to Kaysville and purch- ased property and built a home. Prior to his wifes death, they spent many hours staying with people who were and needed extra help. They are well remembered in this area for their love and compassionate service to others. Mr. John was employed as a custodian at the local schools e and later was hired by the Davis County School District where he worked for 12 UI full-tim- attended Utah State University at Logan for three years and she has attended Weber State College the past year majoring in medical technology. . HE HAS been active in LDS Church activities and organization during his lifetime having served as YMMIA president six years in Colorado; a junior choir leader for eight years, a position he really loved. He said, It was the greatest choir in the world. He has sung in ward choirs since a young man. He also served as high priest secretary for many years and has been a member of the Kaysville First, Seventh and Sixteenth Wards. He loves to fish. He also raises beautiful African violets and a lovely garden with lots of fruits and vegetables. His garden is always free of weeds. He is never idle and enjoys good health. THE BRIDE is the daughter of Robert J. and Odessa H. Harris of Layton. The groom is the son of L. Jay and Itha B. Flint, also of Layton. A wedding breakfast was held at Carols Kitchen in Bountiful, and a reception in the Antelope Drive LDS Chapel in Layton. THE BRIDE chose a white chiffon dress which featured a high neckline with lace and beads and a ruffle on the shoulders of the dress. The sleeves were made of lace and a ruffle and the chiffon skirt draped around the waist. She carried a bouquet of orchids, gardenias, snap dragons, baby breath and small pink roses with long pink ribbons hanging from it. She also wore a band of flowers on her head with ribbons hanging from it. Maid of honor was Leslie Merrill. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jay A. (Joan) Argyle, Mrs. Chris J. (Karen) Bell, Mrs. David R. (Lark) Neilson, Lorie Flint, Cindy Flint and Suzy Flint. Ginger Beeson attended the guest book. Their gowns were of a light soft pink fabric consisting of a wrap around blouse tied in a belt.
