NETTIE COX Burnetta (Nettie) Ruth Brady Cox. 87. 346 S. 8th, died Tuesday evening at her home following an extended illness. SHE WAS bom March 27, 1895 to Lindsay E. and Dorothy Gurena Christensen Brady in Sanford, Colo. She married A. Ira Cox June 24, 1914 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Aug. 6, 1979. Since his death, she has lived at 178 S. 3rd E., and later moved to St. Marks Gardens in Kaysville. SHE ATTENDED Snow Academy, BYU and the McCune School of Music. She served as accompanist, organist and piano teacher in various communities where she lived. She was the first primary president of the first ward organized in Buhl. She was also a linotypist for a family-ru- n newspaper, the Soda Springs Sun, in Soda Springs. In 1946 her family moved to Pocatello and operated a grocery store which later became a ceramic shop. Mrs. Cox studied ceramics at top studios in several western states. She gave demonstrations and was a judge in ceramic shows including the Idaho State Fair in Boise. Since retiring in 1969, she spent several winters with her husband, a former Bannock County assessor, in Mesa, Arizona.
