Show t i I i MARCH 30, 1983 Weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Horne in honor of 80th birthday anniversary were their daughter who sur-prised them by coming from oan Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Carolyn Myhre and daughter Stephanie, also a grandson Giles and his fiance Naegle of Jackson, Wyo., and a granddaughter anc fur children ot Washington, Mr. and Mrs. LaMonte Beutler of Richfield, sister of Mrs. Horne. Over 100 guests attended the birthday open house in honor of Mr. Horne. The birth- day cake with 80 candles lit was a treat for the tiny grand- children to gather around and blow out n honor of their grandfather. The children and also made a scrapbook with pictures and tributes to their grandfather and presented it to him that evening. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Cle- ment returned home from a three week vacation trip where they traveled through states. They visited with tives 15 rela-- Indiana and then in M f toured Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisiana and in Austin, Tex. visited with friends and at Corsiana, Tex. before returning to Utah. Bill and Jeanette Robbins and their family attended the funeral service of her father E. Weight in Provo on Tuesday, March 22. Mr. and Mrs. Gary W. Ste-hi- s wart of Fruit Heights and their family attended her fathers funeral, Leslie J. Christensen held in Ogden on Wednesday, March 23. Wayne K. Sheffield turned from a two week vaca-Car- oi tion trip to Houston, Tex. where he vi ited with his daughter and family, Richard and Kay Murray and two sons Keir and gdylan. Friday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. James Miller were their three grandsons, Boyd, Kevin and Darin Miller of Sandy, Mrs. Texie Hill of Halfway, Ore. is in Kaysville for a week visiting with her children, grandchildren and other tives in the area, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin B. Anderson of Kaysville and family attended the funeral service of his father Alonzo Mr. and Mrs. Owen Horne and their family all attended the wedding and reception of their grandson Robert Horne who was married on Friday, March 18 to Maureen Saunders at Brigham City. Robert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Horne. Elder Jim Hill will leave Provo on March 29 to leave on his mission to the Dominican Republic - Santo Domingo LDS Mission from the Salt Lake Airport. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Hill. Calif, arrived Saturday to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Rasmussen for one week. Out of state guests attending the 80th birthday open house for Lloyd A. Bishop were their sons Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Kay Bishop of New York City; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Larson and family, Emmett, Ida.; a grand- Fla. was a recent houseguest and visitor of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Call. After a week of sightseeing throughout Utah he was impressed to return at a daughter, Mrs. Jan Bigler, Costa, Mesa, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Newell Thurgood of San Diego, Calif, and from St. George were Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Bates. Mr. and Mrs. Bishop enjoyed an extended visit from all of them for this special e.ent. Mrs. Donna Banks, Mrs. Vera Conder, Mr. and Mrs. later date. Mrs. Christine Malan and four children of San Diego, Provo area were Friday guests of their sister and brother-in-- Patrick Mattie of Largo, Bob Waldberg from Orem and law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Edwards. Wayne Eatchel is confined to the Davis North Hospital in Layton where he is undergoing treatment from an injury at his home last week. Mrs. Judy Holt and her family attended the funeral service of her mother Mrs. Norma V. DeVries held at the Larkin and Sons Mortuary Chapel in Ogden on Monday. Mrs. DeVries resided in Sunset. Mission Call Elder Cecil John and his wife Pauline have accepted their mission call to the Puerto Rico LDS Mission. They will enter the Mission Training Center on April 20. Elder Douglas Slade arrived home Tuesday, March 22 from serving his mission to the Argentina LDS mission. He is a member of the Kaysville 13th LDS Ward. Slade in ceremonies performed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Friday, March 25. THE BRIDE is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Ward of 148 N. 600 E., Kaysville. Parents x of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Slade of 460 E. 100 N., Kaysville. Following the ceremony the couple was honored at a weda ding breakfast at the Restaurant in Salt Lake City hosted by the bridegroom's parents. Chuck-A-Ram- A RECEPTION was held that evening at the Kaysville 13th LDS Ward cultural hall where the newlyweds greeted guests. For her nuptial events the bride chose a gown of Quina overlaid with chiffon featuring a smocked yoke at the bodice and full skirt. The bridal bouquet was made up of white carnations. THE MOTHER of the bride h chose a gown of dusty rose and the bridegrooms mother chose light blue h gown. They wore corsages of carnations.
