Thursday night about 11 p.m. a passer-by stopped an Orem police patrol car and told the officer that Albertson’s Food Center, 40 W. Center, was filled with smoke. The police radioed for the fire department and proceeded to the store where they broke a front window in the building to permit firemen to enter it. After some investigation it was found that the apparent cause was fumigation fumes. Conferences Elder Antoine R. Ivins, a| member of the First Council of Seventy of the LDS Church will preside at quarterly conference of the East Provo Stake Saturday and Sunday. Accompanying Elder Ivins will be Mrs. Edith P. Local Reservists Prime For ‘Assault’ on ‘Enemy’ Fifty Utah County residents —members of the U.S. Army Reserve — are primed for an “assault” on an “enemy” missile base in the northern part of Utah County Saturday. The assault will actually be a night reconnaisance patrol of an “enemy” missile base set up ‘somewhere near Camp Williams. It will be the final phase of training for the 50 men seeking their expert infantryman’s badge, said Capt. James Wise, commander of Headquarters SewerLine Company of the 3rd Battalion of the 38th Infantry. All of the men are members of the battalion and come from either Headquarters “A” or “B” companies, he said. Capt. Wise will be in charge of Saturday’s operation, which will last from 3 p.m. to about 2 a.m. i He said that the problem facing the men is to make a simulated helicopter drop near Camp Williams and then in eight patrols try to locate the “enemy” missile base. Armed patrols on vehicles and a foot will guard the installa- ion. mobile.
