Its rivals number a small handful. This July 24th, the family and I got to see it for thefirst time. I had talked about going there for the last coupleof years but wefinally made it. We made the tripina 14 font fishing boat with an 18 horsepower outboard with little difficulty. (The weather was good to us) Ttis about 10¢ miles roundtrip from Bullfrog Marina to Rainbow Bridge. There is a large marina at Rainbow Bridge which has 18 gas pumps. Before Lake Powell was made, it was very very difficult to get into Rainbow Bridge and onlythe intrepid madethat trip. If you don’t have a boat, they have all types of craft for rent at the Bullfrog Marina andthereis a tour of the bridge in a larger cruiser that leaves from the WahweapMarina, It is about a 15 minute hike from the dock up to the Bridge. One of the most frequent complaints in the visitors register at the Bridge in July was the heat (as if the Parks service could do something about it), The ideal time to make the trip is about from now until late October.
