Grove PLEASANT GROVE Homecoming is being observed this week by students at Pleasant Grove High School. On Monday evening the Homecoming Queen Pageant was held with Marianne Rees as queen, Judy Shepherd as first attendant and Roxan Einerson as second attendant. Marianne is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Rees of Pleasant Grove. She is 16 years old and a junior, Her sponsors were the Cheerleaders. Judy, 16year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ray Shepherd, Lindon, is a junior also. Her sponsor was the Thespian Club. Roxan, sponsored by the Pep Club, is 17 years old and a senior. HOMECOMING ROYALTYat Pleasant Grove High School includes Queen Marianne Rees and her ettendants Judy Shepherd and Roxan Einerson. The homecoming activities featured an assembly this morning and a football gamethis afternoon will be climaxed by a dance tonight. Lake Shore Relief Society Officers Are Honored at Season’s Ist Social LAKE SHORE — Mrs. Maxine Christensen, Mrs. Edna Dimick, Mrs. May Huff and Mrs. Marie Carr were honored as the outgoing presidencyof the Relief Society at the opening social held here Sept. 29. A large group of ladies enjoyed the program and presentation of previews of the lessons for the coming year. Luncheon was served at table decorated withfall flowers. The event was underthe direction of the new presidency, Mrs. Vada children of Salt Lakeall visited in the afternoon and evening. Mondayand TuesdayLt. Francis and family his mothervisited in Ferron with another brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Vaugh Francis. Lt. Francis andhis wife will leave Oct. 3 for Fort Lee, Va. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Francis were weekend guests at the home of Dr. and Mrs. John Hanks in Logan. Sunday dinwer guests also were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bowcutt also of Logan and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Huff of Brigham City. Tuesday guests here were Dr. and Mrs, Jack Francis, 83 year-old uncle of Santa Anita, Calif. who are Utah to attend General Conference sessions. Dr. Francis is here also to lecture at a seminar for chiropractors. They visited with nieces, Mrs. Verda Tuckett and Lenora Measomalso. Mrs. and Mrs. Grant Huff accompanied by her father, W.K. Johnson of Springville went to Bountiful Sunday to see their grandson, Todd christened. Heis the son of Mr. and Mrs. Al Byington.
