Show Page %0—THE HERALD, Provo, Utah Tuesday, December 21, 1971 MAKE A Cocktails and car keys, . . . taken individually, provide a lot of people with a degree of pleasure, and undoubtedly will again this holiday season. But, you know what happens whenthey are mixed in the wrong proportions, POTENTIAL DISASTER. If we’re realistic, we’ve got to admit that there is always too much drinking and driving, particularly at holiday time. No amount of talking is going to convince certain people to, ‘‘make the last one coffee’’, or say, ‘‘none for me thanks, I’m driving’, it just won't happen. Forthis holiday season we offer a suggestion for every driver. During the peak of the party, when everyoneis at their gayest, take a good look at your wife or your best girl in her pretty party dress. Plant this impression firmly in your mind, along with the reminder that how LASTINGthis impression will be dependsto a great extent on you. You are the one whowill drive home; the one that has to be extra careful to make allowances for those other drivers who won’t be careful; the one she is dependingon. It’s a cold hard fact that a mistakein these circumstances doesn’t very often lead to a second chance. Enjoy yourself fully at each of your holiday parties this season, All facts authenticated by and throughthe courtesy of the National Safety Council | / \ but remember...
