Show The Manti Messenger, Thursday, April 1, 1982 MHS releases names of 22 honor students Manti High School has announced the names of students named to spring quarter honor rolls. Students who had perfect 4.0 grade point averages made the high honor roll and students who had grade point averages of 3.90 or better made the honor roll, Principal Ivan Rowley explained. Here are the honor rolls by grades: Ninth grade high honor roll, Melanie Birch and Susan Rees; honor roll, Kathleen Reeve, Penny Jorgensen, Annette Monson, Julene Scow, Adam Willardson and John Willmore. Tenth grade high honor roll, Layne Hadley and Melanie Larsen; honor roll, Lonnie Cox, Laura Meyers and Robin Smith. Eleventh grade high honor roll, Corinne Frischknecht, Masako Ishigo-hok- a and Sandra Ockey; no honor roll. Twelfth grade high honor roll, Debra Chadwick and Keith Willmore; honor roll, Pam Bean, Sandra Squire, Daniel Will and Tracy Jorgensen. David Monson wins second in oratory David Monson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Garth Monson, Ephraim, won second place in oratory at the State Forensics Meet at Southern Utah State College. His subject was ital Punishment." He earned the right to compete in the State Meet by winning a high rating in the Region 10 Forensics Meet. Provo LDS T m pit to rrmuin open during conference The Provo LDS Temple will be open during the week of April conference of The Church of Jesus Saints Christ of Latter-da- y except Saturday, April 3 when it will be closed all day. Regular patrons as well as friends and visitors to general conference from outside the Provo Temple District are invited to attend the temple, said Elder A. Theodore Tuttle, the temple president. The regular session for Spanish-speakin- g people will not be held as scheduled for the first Saturday of each month, President Tuttle said. Those attending this session should arrive at the temple by 9:00 a.m. The temple is prepared to conduct sessions in 18 different languages, and groups desiring sessions in foreign languages should contact the temple.
