The application seeks to change the frequency of the station to 650 kHz, the effective radiated power to 0.9 kW, nighttime and 2.0 kW, daytime, and the transmitter location to a site at Cemetery Lane, two miles north of Manti, Utah. The officers, directors and 10 or greater stockholders of Sanpete County Broadcasting Co. are: Douglas L. Barton, Lee R. Barton, and Barton Kay Christensen Marianne M. Barton. Mr. Carter has been studying Sanpete Valley architecture for nearly a decade and has published several articles about the unique and building styles of the Sanpete Valley. BuildHis doctoral dissertation, A Zion: Social ing History of Architecture in the Sanpete Valley, will be published soon. And he is beginning a lengthy study of Mantis architectural history. This study will focus on three important periods of Mantis history, each of which has an architectural equivalent. These periods he has designated as the early kingdom building years, 1 849-890; the years of transition and consolidation at the turn of the and finally, the century, return to normalcy and small town America during the early decades of this century, 1910-194Dr. Carters presentation will describe in detail his Manti work and will be accompanied with numerous slides of buildings illustrating the various phases of the citys history. But the Recreation Committee expects to pay that money back in receipts from the concession stand, according to Kim Anderson, committee chairman. This is the second major project the Recreation Committee has undertaken.
