Taralyn Frost MHS football captains, new coach get ready for season BY COACH BILL SULLIVAN Mantl football captains have been selected for the 1988 season. Elected captains were Danny Luster. Shane Denton. Tyler Bolll, David Stevens and as alternate Yorl Ludvigson. They were selected by their teammates Just prior to the end of the school and will be functioning in several capacities. Danny Luster Is a senior who has played football, basketball and track during his high school years. Danny Is a member of the National Honor Society, next year's studentbody president and has a current GPA of 3.9. a Shane, son of Chris and Denton of Sterling, brings senior leadership and a great deal of enthusiasm with him this season. He has played both running back and linebacker and has a very good chance of carrying the ball a few times this season too. Besides football, he has been very successful in wrestling and baseball at ManU. Shane carries a high Lov-ett- GPA of 3.7. Tyler Bolll Is the son of Gerhard and Melodle Bolll of Ephraim. He Is a very Impres- sive athlete with several honors awarded him. He won state In the 300 meter hurdles as a sophomore, was selected to the team In football and has done well in basketball. Tyler's speed and receiving ability make him a deadly threat when the ball is In the air. Tyler has a combined GPA of 3.8 and says he is very anxious for the All-Regi- receives YW Womanhood award season to begin. David Stevens was quarterback for the Templars last year and Is looking forward to two more years of playing time for the Templars. He Is the son of Charles and Darlene Stevens and has achieved Eagle Scout honors. This ambitious young man has state honors in his sights and a goal to play college football one day. Tt will take a total team effort, but I believe we can take state this year,'' says David. David has worked hard this summer and has a GPA of 3.8. She has played varsity volleyball for three years, and has participated with the MHS Golf Club. She enjoys piano, flute, snow , and water skiing, softball and basketball. She recently served as a Girls State delegate In Cedar City. Andrea is a member of the National Honor Society and she will serve as historian her senior year.
