Warren Douglas Burnett celebrated his 99th birthday May 25th. He was honored with an open house at the home of a daughter Dorothy Rogerson in Ogden. Many of his friends and relatives came to help him celebrate his birthday. He was born May 25, 1893, in Bedford County, Virginia. He was wed to Fannie E. Bullough Oct. 17, 1917 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Sept 12, 1933. On Jan 30, 1935 he married Florence Christensen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died July 12, 1985. He retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad as a painter and supervisor in 1959. He was a high priest in the Ogden LDS 28th Ward and has served in many church positions Dahlene Curtis and Matthew Jesse Mullins Curtis - Mullins Dahlene Curtis, daughter of Don and Iris Curtis, of Greenwich, will marry Matthew Jesse Mullins, son of Lewis and Elaine Mullins, ofManti.on Friday, June 12, in the Manti LDS Temple. A reception will honor the couple from 7 to 9 p.m. that evening at the Manti Stake Center, 295 South Main, Manti. A reception will also be held Saturday, June 13, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Koosharem LDS Chapel, Koosharem, Utah. Carol Jeanette Anderson Mortensen, 60, of Manti, passed away May 31, 1992 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center of cancer. Born April 1, 1932 in Springville, Utah to William Clive and Melva Demer Anderson. Married Leland Mortensen Sept 15, 1951 in Chester, Utah. Carol was a member of the Manti 1st Ward, past president ofthe MantiEphraim Ambulance Association, EMT for Manti Ambulance assn, for 13 yeers. She gave devoted service to Sanpete County. Worked as a cook at Manti High School for 12 years. Survived by her husband, three sons two daughters: William Paul, Henderson, Nev.; Stuart Lee and Terrance Wayne, both Manti; Mrs. Robert (Leigh Ann) Wheeler, Richfield; Trudy Marie Mortensen, Ephraim, 15 grandchildren, five sisters and one brother, Bette Jorgenson, Scene with soloists Erika Frischknecht and Jared Bagnall. and Erika took KHolmdn entries of: The Sugar Plum Grand Pas De Deux and Claras Variation. Other awards were given to the 1st place Russian Trepall, first place, Chineese Tea and Jolene Bagnalls Yankee Doodle." In March, ten students were selected by Director Vivian Kosan Bagnall to audition for BYU Ballet Theater Summer Camp. All ten were selected. The workshop will be under the direction ofJim Greenhalgh. The course will be developed around the book written by Uta Hagen Respect for Acting.This course to be held at is a the Manti City Building Auditorium on every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Those interested must be 15 years or older. A letter of completion and a certificate of comparable to college credit will be presented at the end of the course. He was named Secondary Education Coordinator. One of his first major responsibilities will be to develop the educational specifications for a new junior high and high school in the northern part of Ogden. Carl has been the principal of Bonneville High School in Ogden for the past six years. During that time, he served on the Board of Directors and Board of Truster s for the Utah High School Activities Association. Carl served as the principal of the McKay-De- e Behavioral Center, acting as a consultant regarding young people with problems and their eligibility in the high school setting. i x Carl Boyington He is married to the former Janice Thompson, daughter of Lee R. and Laura Fae Thompson, of Ephraim. Carl and Janice have four daughters and five grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted in the Manti Tabernacle on Thursday, June 4, 1992. Interment in the Manti City Cemetery. The Ephraim Utah Stake will hold a ward choir festival on Sunday, June 7 at 7 p.m. in the Ephraim Stake Center.
