She was bom October 25, 1925 in Salt Lake City , Utah to John Ivan and Ellen LaVelle Ockey Tew. She grew up in Nephi, Utah. Married Daniel Ward Olsen, July25, 1946intheManti LDS Temple. She was a wonderful mother to her family and all felt welcome in her home. Her service and kind nature was an example ofunconditional love for others, she taught school for twenty two years and following retirement continued to serve in the school and community. Shewas active in the LDS Church where she held many positions. She enjoyed numerous hobbies and was always willing to try something new. She is survived by Husband and children, Kent and Kathy Olsen, Eileen and Charles Jeffs, Jay and Tawny Olsen, Darrel and Corinne Olsen, Vaughn and Leighann Olsen all of Ephraim, Obituaries Pearl Miller to celebrate Eva May Andersen 80th birthday Decker Pearl H. Miller will be honored by her children at an open house on her 80th birthday on Saturday, September 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Manti Senior Citizens Center. Pearl was bom September 13, 1913, in Koosharem, Sevier County, to Sisson J. and Emma Rosetta Hatch. She married Clarence E. Miller May28, 1935 in the Manti IDS Temple. She worked in Manti Temple Linen room and cafeteria for 15 years. Pearl was the meeting house librarian for 25 years. Many of these years she served as head librarian for both the First and Second Wards. She also taught in the Sunday School, Primary and is a Relief Society Visiting Teacher. Pearl has been and still is an avid gardener, as can be attested to by her laige yard filled Eva May Andersen Decker died September 5, 1993 in Mayfield, Utah. She was bom May 5, 1918 in Ephraim, Utah to Joseph Francis and Minnie Andersen. She married Virgil Boyd Decker on February 15, 1937 in Nephi, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. garden and now the great grandchildren are making the same discovery. . with beautiful flowers and luscious fruits and vegetables. As one ofthe grandsons lay on the lawn looking about he exclaimed Grandmas yard is just like the Garden of Eden." This pretty well sums up how we all feel about her garden. We as children and grandchildren discovered the beauty ofnature and her bounty in the Clarence and Pearl are the parents of six children, three boys and three girls. She would be pleased to greet all relatives, friends, and neighbors at the open house. No gifts, please. . Harold Jensen to enjoy 90th birthday Eva lived her life in Ephraim. She had two older sisters who preceded her in death. Her life was full of service to her family, her church Eva May Andersen Decker and the community. She graduated from Ephraim High School and attended Snow College for one year. In her early married life she accompanied her husband to his various military post assignments. Eva worked as a telephone operator in the telephone office for seven years. As PTA president she was responsible for the installation of the crossing guardforthe elementary school. She cared for children in her home for five years and was a talented seamstress. She started teaching primary when she was 16 years old and was a Primary teacher for 40 years, and a Sunday School teacher for 27 years in the LDS Church. She also served on the Primary and Relief Society Stake Boards. She was a member of the DUP and the Ephraim Literary Club. One of her many hobbies was caring for the many beautiful flowers around her yard and in her home. Survived by her husband Boyd of Ephraim, and her daughter Sally and her husband Glen and three children; Mardy, Stephanie and Vernon, of Price. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 8, 1993 in the Ephraim LDS Stake Cen- Helen and George Haney, Payson, Utah. 20 grandchildren. Brothers and Sisters John L. Bom November 5, 1938 in Cannonville.Utah to Harry Lincoln and Mathilda Dutton. Leslie Married Jack C. Adams June 30, 1992 in Ephraim, Utah. Member ofthe LDS Church. Very successful. mother and grandmother. She worked at the American Fork Hospital for 6 years in the housekeeping department retiring in 1990. Survivors Two sons and two ter.
