Show Page 8 GEMS Sevier Valley Arts Alliance Fall Festival adds heritage element What began three years ago as a modest celebration of the arts during the last best weather of the summer has bloomed into Fall Arts and Heritage Festival as Richfield, Utah now becomes a focus for the Gathering of the Clans on Friday and Saturday, September 16 and 17. Sponsored by the Sevier County Arts Alliance, the festival will host half a dozen pipe bands, beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Competition will be held in categories of highland dancing, piping, drumming, and athletic events. Some Clan activities for children will also be held. All the pipers and drummers will parade down Main Street at the conclusion of the heritage activities Saturday afternoon at 12:30. Pipe bands are becoming a familiar sight in Richfield as they have participated have in Richfields In- - dependence Day celebrations in recent years. While Clan events will be held in the Richfield City Park, on Main Street at 300 North, other performing and visual arts will be featured at the center of town. Art in the Stores is a popular feature of the festival which begins on Monday, September 12. Merchants display mini art shows in their establishments, and dont seem to mind if people come in just to see the art, according to Neal Busk, Arts Alliance president, himself a Main Street merchant. Other activities associated with Festival include sidewalk art, caricature drawings, face painting, foods, art, crafts, and genealogy booths. The first is September 14th at 7 pm. It will be an Ice Cream and Cookie Thank-yo-u Party. This will be for all those that helped in the Information Booth and with quilting. It must maintain a separate and confidential clinical record for each resident. 10. It must provide skilled rehabilitation services to help the resident maintain and improve functional abilities. 11.
