Show Messenger-Enterpris- Childrens singing group finishes winter season The childrens singing group, Young Performers, has just finished the fallwinter season. Two concerts performed 23 and 24 were a hit on January with both Manti Senior Citizens and with the childrens families and friends. The program was called A Night With Rogers and Hammerstein, featuring songs from five different broadway musicals including The King and 1, Carousel, South Pacific, and The back-to-ba- ck Pssst . . Young Performers is directed by Fawn Miller of Manti, who has been managing these groups of children, ages for a year Ivan J. Sorensen 0, now. In March, Young Performers will begin preparing a new selec- Ivan J. Sorensen, age 76, died February 4, 995, of a heart attack at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah. He was born October 14, 1918, in Centerfield, Sanpete County, Utah to Erastus Severn and Amy Zoe Draper Sorensen. He married Hazel Darle Morgan on August 21, 1938 in the Manti LDS Temple. le completed his education in Centerfield, Manti, and Idaho State College in Pocatello, Idaho. I Ie was a retired pharmacist working part time at Stone Drug in Spanish Fork. He was chosen Pharmacist of the year in 1985 for the Utah County Pharmacists Association. He was an active high priest in the LDS Church, where he served as Provo South Stake Financial Clerk. Ivan and Darle served a mission in the Charleston, West Virginia Mission 1985 to 1986. He has taught Temple Preparation classes and has serv ed as financial clerk under three bishops and counselor to two bishops of the Provo Second Ward. Sally was a lifetime resident of Manti. Bom to Clay and Alta Madsen on March 10, 1946 in Gunnison, Sally was very active in her school activities including drill team and dance. She loved her animals and became famous with her horse Ginger. She participated in many events, her favorite being barrel racing. Sally is survived by her father. Clay Madsen, son Troy Martin and wife Shauna, grandchildren Britain, McKenzie, and Brady of Logan, brothers Gary Madsen of Manti and Gerald Madsen of Centerfield. Jared was bom July 22, 1979 in Washington, Utah. 1 le attended Provo elementary schools, Dixon Middle School, and Manti High School. Jared is survived by his father Stanley Smith and his mother.
