Interested students should attend the first meeting to elect officers for this year and to share their ideas for activities. The Art Club met this Thursday, Sept. 5th in the art room after school. There is no fee and meetings are usually held once a month after school in the art studio. FBLA names new officers The Manti High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) orginization has named their officers for the 1996-9- 7 school year. Cashelle will serve as president, Kjar Vice President is Janice Blackham, Secretary is Erin Rasmussen, Reporter is Jill Cragun, Historian is Kristina Cox, and Nanette Sorensen as activities coordinator. MHS has had an FBLA orginization since 1983 with Mrs. Kjar as the advisor. The objective of the Future Business Leaders of America is to prepare students to be competitive in business when entering the work force. FBLA members are able to participate in a state FBLA meet and leadership confrence, prepare for job and college interviews and develop skills which will benefit them in the years to come . They also have the opportunity to attend fieldtrips to A minimum of 5 students is required to maintain a Chapter, and a $5 membership fee is re- quired ($3 Nat"l, $2 Local). Membership is by invitation but anyone who qualifies is encouraged to apply.
