Its important to have correct information about nutrition so you can make wise decisions about your health. The purpose of this article is to provide correct information about dairy foods. The main argument against milk is that it contains some fat. But milk and other dairy foods aren't the enemy. Dairy foods are bones, nerve conduction, muscle contraction, general healing and many other essential body functions. While many foods contain calcium, theyre not created equal. So-call- ed the richest source of calcium, which is a critical nutrient for For example, you need to eat nearly 8 cups of spinach to absorb the amount of calcium absorbed from I cup of milk. And we all know how difficult it is to get our children to eat just one bite of spinach, let alone 8 cups. As you plan the family meals keep in mind that your nutrition needs differ from your children's. Children under the age of 2 need the calories of whole milk for nor- -- mal growth and development. aren't children. kids Most growing Switching to 2 percent, percent, getting enough milk, cheese and or skim before theyre 2 years old By Max Call Everyone has his own sense of humor. Three to four servings of dairy products per day are an important especially part of a healthy diet for children. Dairy foods supply 77 percent of the calcium in the American diet. Considpromote t strike a funny bone, while at another time a long, be funny. joke may Also, some people can tell a story much better than others. I've heard stories that broke me up, but when I tried to tell them later, they fell flat on their punch line. One thing that really bothers me is to hear someone tell one of my stories, which I thought was pretty good, and do it so much better than I that it brings the house down. Of course all humor isn't intentional. Example: On a college entrance exam a student wrote, Before giving a transfusion, find out if the blood is affirmative or drawn-ou- negative. On the same test, another advised, When ou smell an odorless gas, it is probably carbon monoxide. And still another student wrote: Geometry teaches us how to bisex angels. And another: A circle is a line which meets its other end without ending. Some stories are long and hypothetical, nevertheless get a few laughs. Like the one making the rounds in LDS circles which concerns three Mormons who were tried and condemned to death in a foreign country. The military regime was kind enough to give each man a last wish. The first, a bishop, said hed like to retire into a corner of his cell and pray. I le was permitted to do so. The second was a high councilor. I le pondered his decision long before asking that hed like to give one last speech before he went to meet his maker. The third, an elder, promptly said, Id like to be put to death before the high councilor speaks. Heres some advice: Never try to adjust your clothing in a crowded elevator. And some more advice directed to cow boys: Never squat with your spurs on. Why is it that people who forget to turn off their headlights almost always remember to lock their car? And how about this bumper sticker: There aint nuthiu rong with our skools. Whatever your brand of humor, life would be pretty dull without it.
