The University of Utah, Utah Valley State College, and Weber State University have scholarship appli- cation deadlines of February 1, 1997. On December 10 the military will have a representative here to help junior students complete the ASVAB booklet. This is an excellent interestcarecrability assessment instrument. Scholarships we need to note include the Discover Card Youth Program for junior students only. These scholarship applicants must have a GPA of 2.75 and demonstrate accomplishment in four out of five areas. Students must look at the material and select those that apply to them. The American Legion Auxiliary Freedom Foundation Essay contest is due December 20. Also the Rotary Club Exchange Student program has interviews scheduled for December 7. We have one application left if there is anyone interested. ACT prep classes will begin Tuesday, January 7 at 6:30 p.m. The fee is $1 5.00 per student and they will need to purchase an ARCO ACT Preparation book.
