Wrestlers take 2nd in tournament By Greg Dettinger The Manti High School wrestling team kicked off its season last week as they hosted the Turkey Tournament where teams from Juab, South Sevier and Grand County participated. Juab finished first as a team with 197 points, just barely clipping the Templars who finished with 191 points, followed by South Sevier with 122 points and Grand County who finished up the scoring with 1 1 1 points. Gedeon Jarvis took a 1st in the weight division. Shaun Kjar, Layne Denton, Riley Anderson, Derek Mickelson, Ken Riding, Tom Buckner, Rich Hales and Matt Grindstaff all had second place finishes in their respective weight divisions. Jared Black took a 3rd and Clint Kjar took a 4th as well.
