The first stop was in Mayfield at the Golden Plume Ostrich Farm. There they saw rheas from South America, emus from Australia and Ostriches from Africa. They boarded the buses and traveled to Centerficld to Yardleys Pheasant and Fish Farm, where they saw exotic pheasants while touring the farm. The next stop was in Centerficld where they played miniature golf and everyone chose a pumpkin from a pumpkin farm. November's presentation for the 3 grades was on tools. Many different kinds of tools were brought into the classes, talked about and demonstrated. The 4th and 5th grades presentation was on assembly line National Association for Home Health Care, and thousands more home care organizations across America, in launching a series of activities to celebrate national Home Care Aide Week, November The theme this year is Celebrating the Heroes of Caring. It will honor thousands of home care workers who provide front line paraprofessional care for the elderly, disabled, and infirm. With caring hands and compassionate hearts, home care aides deliver personal and supportive services to the nations most frail and dis5. abled individuals. Many times these individuals go over and above the call of duty improving the quality of life, and fostering the dignity among the homebound. Currently, more than 600,000 home health aides work to ensure a clean and healthy environment, shop for and prepare meals, in addition to providing personal care services for their clients.
