C 1 "Sts Adam-ondi-Ahm- I For her service projects, Janey, in conjunction with the Manti Elementary School, distributed materials called Little Beginnings to new mothers regarding the importance of reading with newborn through school age children. She completed training in CPR, first aid and certified as a lifeguard. Janey also made a quilt. Janey was a Manti High School cheerleader for four years, a member of the National Honor Society, tennis and softball teams. She was named to the Academic Tennis Team. The speech team consists of more than 30 students who debate as well as give prepared speeches, impromptu speeches, and a congressional forum. A qualifying tournament for Region 12 was held at Gunnison Valley High School on March 4th and 1 0th. Those who placed in the upper half of the tournament participants qualified to compete at the state tournament. This was held at Dixie College on March 20th and 21st. Manti High School won the Two Ephraim scouts earn coveted Eagle Badge Martin Andrew Men Jay Scott Nilsson An Eagle Court of Honor for Martin Andrew Merz and Jay Scott Nilsson was held on Wednesday, February 25, 1998 in the Ephraim First Ward building. Andrew is the son of Martin and Mona Merz of Ephraim, for his Eagle project he headed the Jay Scott is the son of Mark of Ephraim. He is currently a junior at Manti High School.
