The girl who is selected as Miss Clearfield Pageant Queen could be the ' next Miss America. Now is the time for any young woman in the Clearfield High School boundary who qualifies to decide, Gary Barker, Pageant general chairman, said in calling for candidates to enter the Pageant. The Pageant will be conducted on Saturday April 9, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in the Clearfield High School Auditorium. Barker called for civic and business organizations in the area to sponsor candidates. He also asked for individual young women to submit their own' names as entrants. Applications can be obtained at Shupe Press, 43 South State,, Blocks Clothing Store, 391 South State, and at Clearfield High School.
