Show Emery County Progress Castle Dale, Utah Tuesday November 20. 2001 9B OUTDOOR LIFE High mountain lakes are beginning to ice over, but they generally melt during the day. Mid- Anglers will notice that the lakes water level is down about 10 feet. That condition will continue through the winter and perhaps all of next year. The draw down was necessitated by leaks found in the dam. The future of the reservoir is uncertain at this point. No recent report on fishing success. However, flies, lures, and baits have been good in recent weeks. Good fly patterns have included black and red leeches, royal coachman, captain and renegade. Some fish are as large as 18 inches. The campground is elevation lakes are still open and fishable from shore. Mountain roads continue to be accessible. Once mountain lakes become difficult to access, anglers should shift their attention to Huntington North Reservoir, where 3,200 fish were stocked thisfalL BOULGER RESERVOIR Flies, lures, and baits should all produce good results. The trout limit on the tributaries is two, and bait may not be possessed while fishing the tributaries. CLEVELAND RESERVOIR The expected total draining of the reservoir did not occur. The trout limit of 16 fish dropped back to eight fish on Nov. 1. Fishing should be good with flies, lures, and baits. DUCK FORK RESERVOIR No recent report on ice or fishing conditions. Trout range up to 20 inches in length. Red or black leech patterns have been good this fall. Anglers are reminded to use only artificial flies or lures at this reservoir and its tributaries. The trout limit is two at the reservoir and its tributaries. ELECTRIC LAKE. Boats cannot be launched as the concrete ramp remains all the way out of the water. Shoreline anglers are reminded that bait is not allowed at this lake or its tributaries. The trout limit in the lake and its tributaries is closed. HUNTINGTON CREEK Fly 12 fishermen should try a beadhead Prince nymph or a 12 beadhead Rio Grande on sinking line. The limit on the Left Fork, above the Forest Service campground, is four trout. These must be taken with artificial flies or lures; bait is not allowed. On the Right Fork, from Flood and Engineers Canyon upstream to Electric Lake dam, only two trout may be taken and artificial flies must be used.
