Yes, thats right, were going to the Olympics! Unfortunately, not all of us can say this, but to a lucky few, it was a reality. Eleven students from Green River High School had the honor of attend event ing this and they were not disappointed. The Green River High repre- sentatives arrived at school early the morning on Feb. 12 to the welcoming sight of the school bus. From there they rode on the bus, with representatives from other schools, to Salt Lake. Once arriving, they scurried into Seen IVaks to take part in this monumental in event. Then Greert River students took part in watching the event of their choice, Womens lee Hockey Although, the students did not get to watch an American team, they did however, get to watch an exciting match: China versus Finland. Its Finland won the match side to say that the students who 4-- 0. participated in these events were forever changed. in Utah Studies Weekly Keisha Holmes, 4th grade student at Huntington Elementary was recently recognized by the Utah Studies Weekly. Keishas article will be published in the AprilMay 2002 edition of the Utah Studies Weekly. Tyler Thompson, managing Keisha's article was imaginative and interestingand Im sure others will enjoy reading and be stimulated by it as we have. Keisha won a cash award mid a certificate of merit. Utah Studies Weekly encouraged her to keep on writing. editor of the weekly said, STUDENTS OF THE WEEK McKensi Fielder TYent Wilson CalebSitterud McKensi Fielder is the daughter of Jack and Maxine Fielder of Castle Dale. She is friendly to be around and has a great sense of humor. Kensi likes to play softball and basketball. She likes riding camping, and being Chosen as student of the week is Trent Wilson. He is the son of Martin and Marty Wilson of Cleveland. Trents favorite classes are seminary, Honors English, and information technology. He participates in Jazz Band and football. Trent was a team captain for the football team this year. ' When not in school Trent has many hobbies, including snow- Caleb Sitterud is the son of Randy and Cathy Sitterud of Castle Dale. He enjoys all sports, especially football and skateboarding. He has played on the San Rafael Junior High Football Team for the past two years. He enj ys watch-ingTsleeping, skateboarding, and girls. His future plans include college. outdoors. Kensi is planning on attending UVSC in the fall where she wall be studying to become a boarding, skateboarding, freestyle BMX playing his guitar, listening to loud music, playing Nintendo, hanging out with friends, and cracking lame jokes ht teachers. Lavar and Phyllis Jensen of Elmo. He has five other brothers. Boe has accomplished much in his 18 years. His is an Eagle Scout and plays the piano well. He also plays the organ for his church. He enjoys track in the spring and fall and ice hockey in the winter. He enjoys working with motors and electricity. During the summer he works for his dad. He plans on fulfilling an LDS mission after graduating from high school and upon his return he plans on becoming an electrical engineer. Shrek is his Ussery of Orangeville, and David and Lynda Young of Draper. She is on the girls varsity basketball team at San Rafael Junior High and basketball is her favorite activity. Her hobbies are: hanging out with her friends, doing hair, listen-ingt- o music, and shopping. She is looking toward cosmetology' as a future career goal.
