Ice fishing conditions have become increasingly hazardous with the approach of spring. Anglers should avoid going out on ice that appears soft, thin, or is near open w ater. Coves, where Huntington Reservoir. Slow ice fishing with little pressure. Release of tiger trout is encouraged so that fish can grow larger. Any brown trout caught should be harvested. The reservoir is closed to the possession of cutthroat trout and trout with cutthroat markings. Joes Valley Reservoir. Of- tributaries enter lakes, are unsafe places to fish. Even where ice does look safe, anglers should exercise extreme caution and carry rescue equipment. Test ice thickness near shore before going out in water over your head. Safety equipment should include ice awls, a long rope (preferably in a throw bag), and a floatation device. Abajo Mountains. Members of the Canyon View Honor Society. Caution urged when using household chemicals, pesticides Governor Michael Leavitt has designated the week of March 3 as Poison Prevention Week in Utah. The Division of Consumer Protection, which is the Utah representative for the U.S. Product Safety Commission, would like to remind parents to take extra care with household chemicals, pesticides, and medicine. Here are a few tips to make your home a safer one. Household Chemicals and ; 17-2- Medicine. Keep all chemicals and medicines locked up and out of sight. Before applying any pesti- - OBITUARIES Bob Buck Davis ORANGEVILLE - Bob Buck Davis, age 65, passed away March 15, 2002 at the Castle View Hospital in Price. His heart failed during treatment for severe pneumonia. He was born Jan. 19, 1937 in Richfield to Melvin Micky Harold and Emily Lucille Gissdorff Davis. He married Gw'en Olsen in 1972, later divorced, though they always remained close. Bob loved his children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces and they loved him. He had the soft heart of a child, willing to love and yearning for love in return. He enjoyed the peace apd beauty of Utahs backcountiy and spent a great deal of his life working and playing there. Bob loved to tell stories of his travels as a truck driver, oil roughneck and his other adventures.
